CELEBRATING THE FATHER OF ROCK AND ROLL’S 100th BIRTHDAY
GINA HALEY (USA) – BILL HALEY’S DAUGHTER – AND THE JIVE ACES (UK)
This June, the Screamin’ Festival will pay tribute to the legendary Bill Haley, widely recognized as the father of rock and roll, on the centenary of his birth.
Bill Haley’s influence on the history of music cannot be overstated. Born in 1925, Haley was a pioneer who blended country, R&B, and swing to create a groundbreaking sound that would ignite the rock and roll revolution. In 1954, his iconic hit “Rock Around the Clock” became the first rock and roll song to top the charts, paving the way for a cultural phenomenon that transformed music, fashion, and attitudes worldwide. Other classics like “Shake, Rattle and Roll” and “See You Later, Alligator” cemented his status as a trailblazer who inspired countless artists and shaped a generation.
The impact of Haley’s music extended beyond the charts. It broke barriers and united audiences across different backgrounds, sparking a social and cultural shift that defined the post-war era. His contributions laid the foundation for what would become a global movement, forever changing the landscape of popular music.
The show dedicated to the iconic Haley will be led by his talented daughter, Gina Haley, who will bring all the passion and authenticity of her father’s legacy to the stage. Joining her will be the electrifying British band The Jive Aces, renowned for their unmatched energy and mastery of swing and rock and roll. Together, they will recreate the timeless classics that defined an era and shaped a generation.
This tribute promises to be a unique and emotional moment, filled with rhythm and nostalgia, where you can enjoy the musical gems that cemented Bill Haley as a pioneer of rock and roll.

LOS SIREX (SP)
A Return to their Roots in Calella for the Screamin’ Festival 2025 – Saturday 7th June.
It was 1959 when a group of young people from Barcelona came together to form what would become one of the most iconic bands in Spanish rock: Los Sirex. Inspired by the frenetic rhythms of Elvis Presley, the rockabilly of Johnny Burnette, and the energy of other pioneers of European rock and roll such as Cliff Richard and The Shadows, Los Sirex found their musical identity in the fusion of those American sounds with the vitality of the Spanish youth of the time.
Their first steps on the scene were taken precisely in Calella, a small corner of the Catalan coast that became the epicenter of their rise. It was in the legendary YA YA in Calella where Los Sirex began to conquer an audience eager for new sounds and vibrations. In those first concerts in the early 60s, the guitar chords, the fast rhythms and the unmistakable voice of Antoni Miquel Cerveró, known as Leslie, resonated in the Mediterranean breeze, mixing with the effervescence of a youth eager to experience the rock and roll revolution.
Now, more than six decades later, Los Sirex return to Calella to participate in the Screamin’ Festival 2025, an event that celebrates the legacy of rock and roll and rockabilly, genres that marked their essence from the beginning. This return has a special flavor, not only for the band, who relive the moments that saw them born as musicians, but also for all the attendees who will be able to enjoy the authenticity of a group that has managed to keep the flame of classic rock alive.
Returning to Calella is more than a concert for them: it is a tribute to their history, their roots and the place where their first chords were born.
An unmissable event for all lovers of rock and roll in its purest form!
Viva Los Sirex, viva Screamin’!!!!!!
